Fishing--Everyone's Sport
Fishing is a fun activity for the whole family. The Deep Creek Guest Ranch has three large ponds (tanks in Texas lingo) stocked with a variety of fish. Find bass, crappie, perch, brim and catfish waiting to give you a challenge. In addition, Deep Creek invites you to try your skill at catching catfish and perch in their native environment. The Creek meanders through the Ranch over flagstone and sand, forming pools in places where fish like to live.
Bring your fishing gear, sunscreen, insect repellent and plan to relax in the shade while having the fun and excitement of reeling in those fish. We can arrange for a picnic lunch to keep you going through the day.
DEEP CREEK FISHING
Deep Creek has 3.5 miles of fishing possibilities. Numerous quiet holes where catfish lurk by the banks present a challenge. Deep Creek is known for large yellow and blue catfish, gar, carp and some sand bass. They bite well on small perch, minnows, grasshoppers, worms or lures.
Bowfishing: Bring your bow and try your luck bowfishing for gar or carp along Deep Creek.
